On Sunday, July 24th 4 of our wonderful divers Luke, Liam, Adrian, and Logan were up bright and early. They headed from our shop here in Long Lake to Lake Hiawatha Park to do some good for the environment at the 10th annual Minnehaha Creek Cleanup. The cleanup takes place in three locations across the metro area, and is an effort to clean garbage and debris from surrounding lakes and Minnehaha Creek.

The cleanup was a great success! They set an attendance record of 2,000 volunteers collecting 5 tons of trash! Our divers were able to work alongside the community to collect 150 pounds of that 5 tons. It was a wonderful event for everyone involved.
Waterfront Restoration as a company cares about the environment and we were honored to have the opportunity to serve alongside the community. Our divers help the lake environment every day. By pulling invasive lake weeds by-the-root, they don’t harm the lakes with chemicals, and there is more room for healthy native plants to grow!
As a company we are happy to give back and be involved in the community, we are already looking forward to the 2017 clean up!
“The only way forward, if we are going to improve the quality of the environment, is to get everybody involved.”
