Best Minnesota Lakes to Watch the Fourth of July Fireworks

Top 10 Lakes to Watch the Fourth of July Fireworks
Cross Lake
The fireworks will be shooting off on Sand Island on Cross Lake at dusk on Saturday, July 1. Come before dusk and catch a beautiful sunset here too!
Girl Lake
Watch a beautiful firework show in front of Patricks’s on Girl Lake. Before watching the fireworks, enjoy a nice evening boat ride with friends and family. Girl Lake is part of the Women Lake Chain; Child Lake, Little Women Lake, and Women Lake are the other lakes associated with the chain. So if you have time during the day, check out the other lakes!
Gull Lake
Madden’s on Gull Lake will be throwing its annual Fourth of July firework show for all its guests and homeowners on Gull Lake to enjoy. Located on the south end of Gull Lake, come by boat at 10 pm July 4th, and enjoy the show.
Pelican Lake, Ottertail County
Fireworks will be going off at 10:30 pm! If you want something to do during the day, join the boat parade at 10 am. Decorate your boat and have some fun on the water.
Detroit Lake
Enjoy the firework show off of Mile Long City Beach. Come by boat or car and watch the 4th of July fireworks at 10 pm – bring something to stay warm!
Lake Darling
Arrowwood Resort will host its annual firework show on July 4th at 10 pm. If you want to listen to music during the fireworks, tune into KIKV 100.7 FM or KOOL 94.3.
Lake Minnetonka
This year The Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce hosts many activities at Commons Park in downtown Excelsior. Kick off the day with the Firecracker 1 mil, 5K, and 10K at 7:30 am. Then, the kid’s parade begins at 11 am. Later, the band will start at 4 pm. To end the day, fireworks will shoot off at 9:50 pm. A day full of laughter that you will not want to miss.
Prior Lake
Prior Lake Association is returning its 4th of July Boat Parade and firework show. Deck out your boat and join the fun on Upper Lake near the docks if Charlie’s on Prior! Then, watch the firework show display launching from Watzl’s Beach.
White Bear Lake
White Bear Lake will start its firework show at dusk on July 4th. Wondering if there is something to do during the day? Stop by West Park and Memorial Beach for live music!
Forest Lake
The perfect medium between the Twin Cities and Northern Minnesota, Forest Lake has activities planned for the 4th of July. The parade starts at 10 am near the American Legion, on 6th Street Southwest. Then, at dusk, watch the firework show at Lakeside Memorial Park. Sit back and relax with friends and family, and enjoy the show!
